Dr. Frederick Nahas
Dr. Frederick Nahas brings over 45 years of expertise in general and vascular surgery, with a distinguished career in evaluating and treating complex medical and surgical conditions. He completed his medical training at Temple University School of Medicine, followed by residency and surgical specialization at Temple University Hospital.
His journey began in engineering, earning a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania before transitioning from aerospace to medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Nahas has provided high-quality care to tens of thousands of patients, focusing on long-term health benefits, life extension, and limb preservation.
Now, as a supervisory physician at Thrive Wellness & Medical Weight Loss, Dr. Nahas is shifting his expertise toward preventative care, wellness, and sustainable weight management. His mission is to empower patients with the knowledge and tools to achieve healthier lifestyles, believing that true success is measured by improved quality of life.
Double board-certified nurse practitioner
Amanda Nahas-Wilson, APN
Amanda Nahas-Wilson is a double board-certified nurse practitioner in Adult Gerontology Primary Care and Psychiatric Mental Health. She earned both her master’s degrees at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduated magna cum laude and summa cum laude, respectively. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing (cum laude) and in Addiction and Behavioral Counseling Sciences (summa cum laude) both earned at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dually licensed in both New Jersey and Colorado, she has been working in the field of mental health for over the past four years. Amanda is also a professionally trained chef, and had spent many years working and teaching in both her own and professional kitchens before deciding to switch careers to nursing. She earned her AAS in Culinary Arts from the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, NJ, and completed the Chefs Training Program at the former Natural Gourmet Cookery School in NYC. Keeping her culinary roots close to home, she incorporates the foundational elements of nutritional psychiatry into her work, specifically the food mood connection. Also a certified health coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, she believes in a holistic approach to each patient.
